Trains are still one of the most popular modes of intercity transportation in Russia. The train network is very wide and all the cities are connected.

Many tourists and businessmen prefer train to planes – especially for shorter routes like the most traveled Moscow-St. Petersburg corridor.

Russian trains are divided into 4 classes. On the US market we offer only two higher classes of service:
  • 1st class (SV – Sleeping Cars) offers 2-passenger compartments with 2 lower berths
  • 2nd class (kupe) offers 4-passenger compartments with 2 higher and 2 lower berths
There are no private bathrooms in either class. Communal bathrooms (2 per car) are located on the either end of the train car.

Since the train tickets are priced in roubles and the exchange rates change all the time, we do not offer train fares on our site. Fares and current schedules will be provided upon request.
